County Administrative Board is looking for summer workers
The County Administrative Board is an expert authority in areas such as nature and environment, community building, and rural development, directly subordinate to the government. We act as a link between people, municipalities, regions, and various authorities. We work to ensure that national goals are implemented in the county. We do this by considering the whole in our authority's exercise, by conveying knowledge, and by coordinating and developing various issues. The County Administrative Board is looking for one to two service-oriented summer workers to be placed in the department for operational management and support.
The position involves varied tasks within the department. It is a diverse job where one day is not like the other. We believe that the tasks are suitable for you who are new to the workforce and are between 16-18 years old.
Responsibilities
The tasks largely involve supporting and assisting the janitor with usual tasks that occur in a janitorial service. The work is varied and at times involves moving and physical tasks. Other tasks within the department may also occur.
Examples of tasks:
- some mail handling
- sorting and cleaning in storage
- taking out the trash to the dump (a driver's license is not required as this is done together with the janitor)
- keeping common areas tidy
- keeping the outside of the property tidy
- changing containers for paper recycling
- changing containers for source sorting
- refilling copy paper in the writing rooms
- refilling office supplies
- moving lighter furniture and other inventory
Qualifications and Profile
The requirement for the position is that you are at least 16 years old. You have good knowledge of the Office suite and are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who has a sense of service and a good sense of order. You are practically oriented and do not shy away from moving and physical tasks while also having an interest in administrative tasks. You are unpretentious, flexible, and good at collaborating and getting along with others.
About the Position
The positions are temporary employment with hourly compensation. The employment period extends from June 14, 2025, to August 15, 2025. Work is scheduled on weekdays from Monday to Friday with working hours between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM.
All positions at the County Administrative Board may be subject to security screening and military placement depending on the nature of the assignment.
