We are now looking for five teaching assistants to work as group leaders for the IT program's semester 5.

Your tasks

Your tasks will consist of group leadership according to the PBL method for semester 5 of the IT program.

Your qualifications

To be employed as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to a higher education program at the undergraduate or advanced level.

You should have good academic results and be interested in teaching and supporting other students in their learning.

It is advantageous if you have completed all components of semester 5 of the IT program and have personal experience studying according to PBL or have equivalent knowledge.

Experience with effective teaching and previous work as a group leader in the course is also advantageous.

It is a plus if you are a student at LiU.

Your workplace

You will work at the Department of Applied Mathematics (TIMA), Mathematical Institute (MAI). Mathematics is fundamental to modern natural science and technology, but it is also its own field of study. Research and education at the department cover a wide range of areas, from pure mathematics and scientifically generated problem statements to applications in technology, natural science, economics, and subject didactics. Applied mathematics is used to study advanced modeling methods in natural science, technology, and social science. Research at TIMA focuses on computational mathematics, mathematical statistics, and optimization. About the position

The position is temporary and applies during the autumn semester of 2025, five months at 14% for one group.

Employment as a teaching assistant can never exceed 50% of full-time.

Employment as a teaching assistant is regulated in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance.

Start date by agreement.
