Region Östergötland operates 3 schools, which are gathered in a unit under the Regional Development Committee.

Vreta Education Center is located just outside Linköping, Himmelstalund Education Center is situated in Norrköping, and Lunnevads Folk High School is located between Vikingstad and Mantorp. At Vreta Education Center, the Agricultural Program offers specializations in agriculture, equestrian studies, and forestry, as well as the Vehicle and Transport Program's transport specialization. National Sports Education (NIU) is offered in equestrian sports (dressage or jumping). Vocational adult education and higher vocational education are available in agriculture, equestrian studies, and forestry. The adapted upper secondary school offers the national program Forest, Land, and Animals.

Job Description

We are looking for an instructor who can independently and in collaboration with others, conduct theoretical and practical teaching in machine operation as well as service and repair work. Relevant courses include Excavator, Wheel Loaders, and Forklifts, as well as Service Technology. The position also includes responsibility for the student’s practical learning. You create and maintain industry contacts and actively work for the school's core values, and through collaboration with the school's other staff, you contribute to an interdisciplinary approach.

Work Group

You will be organizationally part of the Earth Unit with teachers in both vocational subjects and common upper secondary subjects, mentors, and student assistants.

About You

You have competence in mechanical engineering, mobile machines, and are a certified trainer for excavators, wheel loaders, and forklifts. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of agriculture and have previously worked with youth and adults in a learning environment. Requirement: B driver's license.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability to perform the above-described tasks. This means that you enjoy meeting young people at different levels and can coach and motivate them to want to develop within your subject area. In your pedagogical work, you are also outgoing and socially active, enjoy creating contacts and maintaining relationships. You are calm, stable, and controlled in pressured situations. The position also requires that you have good collaboration skills, can listen and communicate, and lead by example.
