About the workplace
In the city, the social administration is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.
We have undergone an exciting organizational change focusing on creating a more accessible social service based on three main areas: authority, interventions, and services, as well as housing. We have high ambitions. But to succeed, we need you (and a few more).
Housing First belongs to the housing operational area, and we are now looking for a new employee who wants to be involved in the work to combat homelessness within Helsingborg City.
Our mission is to implement assistance under Housing First according to the Social Services Act and thereby contribute to ensuring that everyone receives support for an independent and meaningful life based on individually established goals.
Our mission also involves saving lives, minimizing the effects of substance use, and motivating change.
Job responsibilities
Are you the one who wants to contribute to positive change for those who need it the most? Housing First is an evidence-based working method that focuses on offering a pathway to housing as the primary first measure. We believe that every individual has the potential to change their life, and we work together with our participants to help them achieve their self-expressed goals. The target group includes individuals with long-term homelessness related to substance abuse issues and/or mental health problems.
Our work is based on strong relationships and individualized support. Inspiring and strengthening motivation for change is a cornerstone of our work, and we see it as a necessary ingredient for close collaboration. With us, the work is created together with the tenants. This includes support in contacts with authorities, healthcare, and motivation-enhancing and relationship-building activities.
Housing First is based on clear principles, and we are now looking for an individual who understands our method and its fundamental principles. We believe that you share our passion for the method and its purpose and believe in the approach. We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
What we offer
We offer you a varied, responsible, and stimulating job with opportunities for personal development. The workplace is smoke-free and health-conscious. As an employee, you will receive a wellness allowance of 3000 SEK per year.
Qualifications
Housing First in Helsingborg is looking for someone who has acquired knowledge and experience in psychosocial treatment work with adults. You have a degree as a social worker, treatment assistant, treatment pedagogue, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
Additionally, you have previous experience working within a politically governed organization and an understanding of the laws and guidelines that govern our work.
A driver's license and the ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle are required. You should be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing. It is advantageous if you have knowledge in ESL, MI, low-arousal responses, and CM.
You have a positive view of people and believe that it is through close collaboration with tenants, colleagues, and external actors that we find solutions and success factors. You have an inclusive perspective regarding user participation. You see opportunities in challenging situations. You trust your abilities and knowledge, but you are also modest and willing to ask questions of both colleagues and clients when you are stuck in a task or assignment.
You feel confident in prioritizing your tasks and can formulate the personal goals you need to set to achieve the organization's goals. For you, it is equally important to take responsibility for both your tasks and the workplace's work environment. You contribute to a work climate where everyone gets to speak and where joy and professionalism are combined.
