Stenungsund municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 27,800 inhabitants, a strong business community, residential environments close to the sea, and good communication opportunities. The municipality's vision is to reach 35,000 inhabitants by 2035. Stenungsund municipality is part of the Gothenburg Region's municipal association, which is a forum for cooperation and exchange of experiences, as well as several other inter-municipal collaborations.
The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. The Social Services sector includes four operations: special housing/municipal health and medical care, individual and family care, ordinary housing/personal assistance, and disabilities.
Within the area of disabilities, interventions are implemented according to LSS, the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons, and the Social Services Act (SoL) aimed at people with various disabilities. The interventions are designed to strengthen the individual's ability to actively participate in community life and live and reside under safe conditions, with respect for self-determination and integrity. Group homes/support housing, daily activities, short-term housing, and various respite forms are some of the support functions. All instances in the chain contribute to qualitative and safe support for people with disabilities.
Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a support pedagogue for Team Kajutan. As a support pedagogue at Kajutan, you work closely with the unit manager and are expected to take significant responsibility in shaping the operations with a focus on educational work. You are a resource and a role model in the pedagogical work. The importance of good interaction is obvious, and you work to promote participation and influence. You work on behalf of the unit manager to ensure the unit's quality work by shaping work guides and implementing methods, working methods, and routines. In your role, you guide support assistants to ensure that support for our residents is provided adequately in accordance with established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. You also have an overarching insight and support colleagues in both social documentation and writing implementation plans in Lifecare, based on IBIC. Collaboration with other units is also part of the role. You support residents in their daily lives by creating a predictable, manageable, and comprehensible existence. You provide professional support by empowering the user in their daily life and creating conditions for development and an independent life. All work is based on the user's individually established implementation plan. The work includes all tasks occurring in a home. As support, you will receive guidance from method developers and will be part of a network with other support pedagogues within disabilities. Since 2023, we have also been working based on a triad where the support pedagogue – method developer – unit manager work together based on an overarching theme broken down to each operation. This is a working method to ensure quality and develop the role of the support pedagogue. You are offered a developing and challenging job with great responsibility where high demands are placed on your ability to independently drive processes and issues forward. You will also have a support pedagogue colleague in the unit to jointly drive the pedagogical work. Employment rate 80–100%, 37 hours/week. Work will take place during the day/evening and on weekends. We work two out of four weekends.
As a support pedagogue, you have allocated and scheduled pedagogical time.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a positive view of people and a good value base. You are proactive and self-driven with a good ability to lead, coach, and support colleagues. The work requires you to be responsible, meticulous, and flexible in your role. You also need to have engagement, patience, and be attentive to colleagues' various needs. You are a secure person who believes that collaboration is the path to success.
You should have good theoretical knowledge regarding autism spectrum disorders (ASD), ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and/or intellectual disabilities. You should also have knowledge and experience in low-arousal approaches, clarifying pedagogy, motivational work/approaches, and a good ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical work with individual users. It is an advantage if you also have knowledge of epilepsy and acquired brain injury. You have relevant post-secondary education as a support pedagogue or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You must master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
Driving license B is an advantage.
