School Psychologist for Borlänge Municipality's Central Student Health
Borlänge Municipality's centrally organized student health is a wonderfully dynamic workplace characterized by quality, collaboration, flexibility, and development. Borlänge is the largest urban area in Dalarna with convenient connections to neighboring towns such as Falun, Säter, and Gagnef. You can also easily commute to cities like Hedemora, Ludvika, and Leksand via public transport.
The centrally organized student health is tasked with supporting the development of local child and student health and strengthening the child and student health perspective. A large part of the work is preventive and health-promoting. The work as a whole is varied and occurs at the organizational, group, and individual levels, in collaboration with school staff, guardians, and other agencies, but of course also transprofessionally within the framework of our own operations. Collaboration with other agencies and actors is included as needed.
In the centrally organized student health, school nurses, school doctors, school psychologists, speech therapists (both for primary and preschool), special educators for preschool, as well as a medically responsible nurse and a medical secretary work together. The organization is led by a unit manager who will be your closest supervisor.
As one of our school psychologists will be on parental leave for the entire next school year, we are now looking for a substitute for her. As a school psychologist with us, you will be centrally located alongside other school psychologists and several of the other categories in the Central Student Health, and then work out towards the municipality's various primary schools and high schools.
Support and collaboration exist in relation to the other professional categories in the central student health, where collaboration, flexibility, and job satisfaction are guiding principles for the operation. The psychology group also has continuous external supervision to support their work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a psychologist within the school, you have an important role in the student health's health-promoting and preventive work. You work from a school perspective on behalf of the principal, where your task is to assist the school as an organization in recognizing both challenges and opportunities from the student's perspective.
The overall goal of your assignment is to contribute to creating a good learning environment for students' academic and social development.
Key components of the assignment:
• Psychological competence in transprofessional discussions and assessments.
• Consultation and supervision for staff and school management.
• Responsible for psychological assessments/investigations with specific questions regarding intellectual disabilities. Provide advice and suggestions for interventions. Refer further for investigation and treatment if necessary.
• Counseling and support for students and guardians based on school-related difficulties.
• Competence development and development work at various levels within the organization.
Opportunities for further education and supervision within the framework of your assignment as a school psychologist are available.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed psychologist with experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. You have a good understanding of relevant working methods for your role as a school psychologist. Excellent oral and written skills in Swedish and good knowledge of English, as well as a valid driver's license and access to a car, are required.
You have a good ability to collaborate, both within your own organization and with external entities. You need to be able to work independently, structure your work, prioritize tasks, and deliver within given timeframes.
We value if you have experience working with newly arrived students and multicultural issues. We also see great value in your ability to work in teams and transprofessionally.
OTHER
During the interview, you will need to provide proof of citizenship in Sweden/EU/EES or a valid work residence permit.
