Vårdcentral Avesta is one of the region's health centers and is located in the hospital area next to the beautiful river promenade. We have about 11,000 registered patients. About 65 people work with us in various professional categories such as doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, medical secretaries, physiotherapists, midwives, and occupational therapists.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, your responsibilities include taking samples, assisting doctors, and performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments for sample collection via phone, as well as handling referrals and waiting lists. Some reception tasks may include catheter changes, wound dressings, and suture removals.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant who has completed the Health and Care program or the vocational package in Health and Care at adult education.

Meritorious:

• previous experience in primary care
• experience working with the Take Care journal system

As a person, you are meticulous and responsible. You have good initiative and planning skills. You are flexible and enjoy collaborating with various professional categories. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability, where good cooperation and a positive attitude towards patients and staff are essential. Information about the Job Title

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected job title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/underskoterska-blir-en-skyddad-yrkestitel/). This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in healthcare.

You can apply for the certificate starting July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in healthcare but with a different title than nursing assistant. For those offered a job with us in Region Dalarna after July 1, the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. If you had a permanent position with the title nursing assistant when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the nursing assistant title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplaces/employers after July 1. After that, you will need to have a certificate of protected job title to use the title nursing assistant.
