Skånetrafiken is the responsible authority for public transport and national public transport in 26 municipalities in Skåne. Within the service transport business area, we work with public transport, medical trips, and other demand-responsive traffic. When Skånetrafiken receives an application, caseworkers investigate the right to public transport based on the Public Transport Act (1997:736). The booking reception schedules the trip, and our traffic management ensures that the trip is carried out. We currently have a total of 28 employees in the public transport unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking forward to welcoming two public transport caseworkers to our team!

As a public transport caseworker, you will investigate, assess, and decide on applicants' rights to public transport and national public transport based on applicable legislation, practice, and regulations. Each individual decision is based on conversations with the individual or their representative, incoming documents, and in some cases, customer visits. Since the position involves exercising authority, it largely includes administrative tasks, and appeals of our decisions may occur.

You will have a lot of customer contact, mainly via phone, where you provide service to citizens regarding public transport and national transport. Additionally, you will inform citizens about our available public transport and handle customer feedback.

Our new modern headquarters in Hässleholm allows for flexible working methods and cross-functional meetings. Here, you will work based on activities and choose your workstation according to your needs at the moment. You have the opportunity to divide your workweek between remote work and on-site work. Our headquarters is located next to the central station, making it easy to travel by train or bus from all over Skåne.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have a relevant university or college education at the bachelor's level, preferably a degree in social work or another behavioral and/or social science education. Additionally, you have good administrative and computer skills as well as good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have worked with authority exercise.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues but also to work independently. You are positive, flexible, and used to structuring and prioritizing your tasks. Furthermore, you take responsibility for your tasks and see legal security as an important part of the work. You have a great ability to adapt your communication and information according to the people you meet in service.
