Unit for Multilingualism

The Unit for Multilingualism is a central unit for mother tongue education and study guidance in the mother tongue from a 6-19 year perspective: in preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school. The unit's mission includes coordinating and organizing activities in both municipal and independent schools.

Our administrative offices are located at Fyrisborgsgatan 1, while the educational activities take place in the municipality's schools.

Your Mission

Your tasks include teaching primary school students in the subject of mother tongue Norwegian according to applicable governing documents, as well as possibly providing study guidance in the mother tongue. Teaching takes place in the municipality's primary schools.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who has Norwegian as their mother tongue and has teacher training or equivalent pedagogical education at the university level that the employer deems relevant for the position. You should have very good knowledge of Swedish and good computer skills. Having a B driver's license and your own car is an advantage.

As a person, you are pedagogical with an understanding of students' different conditions for acquiring knowledge. You are a communicative person who finds it easy to listen and adapt your way of communicating. Additionally, you are good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work.
