The social services in Värmdö municipality is looking for an experienced leader for family care and family law.
The role of group leader
We at Värmdö municipality are looking for a fourth group leader for our child and youth unit. You will have the unit manager as your closest supervisor and will be the group leader for about ten social workers.
As a group leader, you will be responsible for leading and distributing the daily work within the authority's exercise of family care and family law. With your degree in social work and experience in social work, you will play a key role in ensuring a legally secure handling based on relevant legislation. As a group leader, you will work together with your group leader colleagues to lead the organization as a whole.
You will also be involved in shaping and developing future team structures, including collaboration with other professionals such as family therapists and preventive actors. At Värmdö social services, our goal is to work with a cohesive social service where social workers from both adult and child services meet families together.
We are looking for a structured leader who thrives in a changing environment. You have experience leading and coaching teams and are accustomed to handling different areas within social work. Above all, we want you to share our vision of providing our residents with a high degree of accessibility, professional treatment, and participation in their cases.
The family care team consists of three child social workers, two foster care social workers, and one contact social worker. The family law team consists of four social workers.
To succeed in this role, it is important that you:
- Are a qualified social worker, can ensure legally secure handling based on relevant legislation, can lead and distribute processes within the daily authority work, can strengthen and coach social workers in their professional practice, and can drive development and continuous improvements within the framework of the assignment.
You are expected to contribute to achieving the goals of the organization, which means that the users/residents who meet us experience a high degree of accessibility, professional and good treatment, participation, and influence in the handling of their cases, as well as that their living situation improves when they are in contact with social services.
For the role, you should:
- Have obtained a degree in social work.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in authority work as a social worker in family care.
- Have completed BBIC basic training.
- Have a B driver's license.
Strongly meritorious is:
- Experience working as a social worker and leading within family care.
- Experience working as a social worker and leading within family law.
- Experience as a supervisor within authority social services.
- Completed Signs of Safety basic training.

Employment
