Occupational Therapist to the Habilitation in Karlskrona
Are you an occupational therapist looking to make a positive difference for people with disabilities? Then you might be our new colleague! We are currently seeking an occupational therapist for the Habilitation in Karlskrona.
About us
The Habilitation offers services to individuals with congenital or early-acquired disabilities. We provide evidence-based care based on current research and proven experience. The Habilitation is represented by a department in Karlshamn and one in Karlskrona, but we see ourselves as one Habilitation and have a close collaboration across the region. We have about 50 employees, of which 7 are occupational therapists.
For us, it is important to have a person-centered and health-promoting approach where we work to create value for the patient. Therefore, we actively work with accessibility and good treatment. With us, you work in an environment where you have the opportunity to influence development and change work.
As a new occupational therapist with us, you will receive thorough introduction and professional guidance from an experienced colleague. Within the framework of your employment, there is also the opportunity to participate in development and change work. We also offer team supervision, regular professional meetings, wellness grants, and free access to the gym.
About the job
The Habilitation offers meaningful work with complex and developing patient cases. We work in interdisciplinary teams, and you will work both independently and together with competent colleagues and team members. The work at the Habilitation is free and varied, and you largely plan your own calendar. You will have the opportunity to work from a life perspective and provide support for our patients and their networks.
The occupational therapist is an important piece of the team consisting of physiotherapists, special educators, speech therapists, social workers, psychologists, nurses, and doctors, and the daily work is varied. The tasks consist of assessing activity and functional ability, interventions based on individually set goals, prescribing various types of aids, guidance to the patient's network, and issuing certificates, for example, for housing adaptations. The work primarily takes place within the habilitation's premises but may also occur in the patient's immediate environment, such as preschool, school, home, and daily activities. There is an opportunity to perform certain administrative tasks remotely by agreement. Regular working hours are weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and flexible agreements apply.
About you
You who are applying are a licensed occupational therapist. We welcome newly graduated colleagues. You start from the patient's needs and involve the patient and their network in the work. You work effectively with others and see teamwork as an asset to your profession.
You naturally take responsibility for your work, have the ability to prioritize tasks, and can quickly adapt to changing circumstances. You independently plan your calendar based on a holistic view of the organization and collaboration with colleagues.
You also have an interest in creating new working methods together with others and see digital solutions as natural opportunities in your work.
To thrive and succeed in your work with us, you also need to be unpretentious both in terms of receiving knowledge and experiences and in sharing your knowledge and experiences with colleagues. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Applicants who are considered for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.
