About Me

Hello there, here I am, a 16-year-old guy living in Hässelby. I enjoy bowling, music, pranks, and video games. Sometimes I go to music camps outside of Stockholm, and I have my assistants with me. I communicate using words, hands, and facial expressions. The job with me also involves assisting me at school and accompanying me on outings and activities. I hope you want to join me on my adventures, as well as on my quiet days at home.

About You:

You are responsible and structured. It’s a plus if you have a good sense of humor but also a touch of seriousness when needed. I would appreciate it if you have previous experience with alternative communication. You need to have a good command of the Swedish language so we can understand each other. It is a requirement that you are smoke-free, and it is important that you have good physical fitness to assist me with transfers. You will also assist me with my basic needs, such as personal hygiene.

Staffing:

This position includes an extended (and compensated) staffing assignment that requires you to be available at times other than working hours during certain weeks, to call in a substitute or step in yourself when intervention is needed. This is Assistans i Balans's way of ensuring that our clients always have a familiar assistant by their side. The assignment is shared with some of your colleagues, who work according to a regular schedule.

Lead Assistant (Occasional instances during the regular lead assistant's absence):

In this position as a personal assistant, there may be occasional instances where an extended role as a lead assistant (personal coordinator) in the assistance is relevant. This means that you, in close consultation with the assistance user (or legal representative), design the user's personal assistance according to the intentions of the LSS regarding self-determination, choice, and personal integrity. In addition to leading other assistants as described above, you ensure that the work environment is safe and secure and are responsible for the schedule.

The Position:

This is a 75% position with working hours spread throughout the day, on a rolling schedule. To be employed, you must present valid ID, a personal certificate, any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden, and a police record extract.
