Laboratory Engineer

Are you a university graduate with a scientific background, such as a Biomedical Analyst or equivalent? Do you also have experience working with the manufacturing and/or quality control of pharmaceuticals or medical devices, as well as familiarity with working in a regulated environment? If so, we are looking for you!

About the Assignment

As a Laboratory Engineer, you will work both in production, where you manufacture the ImmunoCAP ISAC test, and with the optimization of our existing processes/methods. You will be responsible for quarterly trend monitoring, preventive actions, and activities. In coating, the glass surface is prepared in a laboratory environment. Components are then applied to the glass surface using advanced spotting equipment. You will document your work continuously in established records according to quality requirements and ensure that manufacturing follows set process specifications. You are driven and enjoy problem-solving and improvement work.

Your Daily Tasks Include:

  • Supply of glass slides
  • Coating of glass slides in a laboratory environment
  • Spotting of components with advanced spotting equipment
  • Inspection of spotted chips
  • Withdrawal and cancellation of process orders in the SAP business system
  • Review of manufacturing documentation
  • Supervision, maintenance, and basic upkeep of equipment
  • You document your work continuously according to QSR requirements and ensure that manufacturing follows set process specifications.
  • Troubleshooting
  • Deviation investigation
  • Leading and driving investigations and improvement activities

This is a consulting assignment via Adecco; the employment is a parental leave cover with a start as soon as possible, preferably by 1/5. The assignment is expected to last for 15 months.

About You

We are primarily looking for someone with experience in laboratory work and LEAN in a quality-regulated environment (GMP/QSR/ISO 13485). You have a laboratory technical education or a university degree. To thrive and be successful in this role, you should be responsible and meticulous, with an eye for quality. You have an open mindset and suggest alternative solutions or methods to drive our operations forward. Furthermore, you should be able to work independently, but it is also important that you have good communication and collaboration skills, as several manufacturing steps occur as part of a team. To perform the tasks satisfactorily, it is important that you read and write fluently in Swedish, and since we are an international company, you also need to be proficient in English.
