Within Knivsta municipality, with the municipal building located in a perfect commuter location directly adjacent to Knivsta station, the land and development unit is responsible for both the management of the municipality's land reserve and the municipality's development activities. The land and development unit currently consists of five positions, including a land and development manager, three land and development engineers also serving as project managers, and an administrator/land manager. In light of the municipality's expansion, we are now seeking an additional project manager for our development projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a project manager for development projects, also serving as a land and development engineer, with us at the land and development unit, you have the privilege of working to realize the municipality's visions for development within the framework of development projects. In the projects, you will work with the full breadth of land and development issues and have ongoing contacts with developers, residents, businesses, authorities, politicians, and municipal administrations.

Your main task will be to work as a project manager with overall responsibility for development projects. We drive our development projects in close collaboration with developers, residents, authorities, municipal administrations, and other stakeholders. The work as a project manager involves everything from assessing development ideas to being responsible for the implementation of projects, where you have overall responsibility for legal, technical, and financial aspects from project idea to completed project. The work includes project management, project control, coordination of the project group, drafting agreements and calculations, buying and selling land and properties, land allocations, investigations, etc. During the various stages of the projects, you will present your projects to steering groups and politicians. As a project manager, you find it stimulating to be proactive, to lead and coordinate projects, and to have overall responsibility from the early stages to the completed project.

In addition to managing development projects, you will negotiate and establish agreements for the acquisition, disposal, and leasing of land/properties, represent the municipality in land survey proceedings, and be responsible for property valuations, etc. You will also serve as a resource with expertise in community building and development, contribute to developing the municipality's development processes, work with strategic community building and development issues, and support operational development and complex development projects.

The role entails significant personal responsibility, and you will also play an important role in our ongoing development and improvement work. Your expertise is important to us in our continuous development efforts within the organization. In your professional role, you are also part of community building, and together we are a crucial part of the long-term development of Knivsta as an attractive place to live and work.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 3 years of university studies with a degree in community building, land surveying, or equivalent. At least 3 years of work experience in land and development as a project manager, project developer, business developer, or project manager for development projects with tasks such as developing project directives or similar governing documents, project management based on established frameworks regarding time/economy/content/goals, contract negotiations (land allocation agreements, implementation/development agreements, purchase agreements, various forms of lease agreements, etc.), development calculations, etc.

It is also advantageous if you have experience with development projects related to larger infrastructure developments and/or business area/economic development.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. As a person, you are open, engaged, participatory, and responsible, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You also have a business-minded approach that permeates your work. Since the position involves close collaboration with many different internal and external parties, you need to be a very good communicator, have strong collaboration skills, and work in a structured manner.
