ABOUT THE POSITION
Olink has experienced explosive growth in recent years, and the company's products are used by research institutes and pharmaceutical companies around the world. With offices and service labs in Uppsala and Boston, as well as sales representatives in Europe, Asia, and North America, Olink has established itself as a global player in Life Science. The technology is used to understand diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and neurological disorders.
In the role of development engineer, you will become a key person within the Assay Development team, which works on developing and validating immunoassays. The team is responsible for creating new products that help researchers analyze proteins and biomarkers with high precision. The work is varied and consists of both laboratory work and analysis of large datasets. The role includes planning, executing, and analyzing experiments as well as close collaboration with other departments to optimize processes and development projects. You will thus be part of a cross-functional team where collaboration is at the center, both within R&D and with other departments such as production. This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Olink. The assignment will be full-time and is expected to last at least until the turn of the year. There are good opportunities for extension and direct recruitment, provided that there is room for it and that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks
- Perform experiments and antibody screening using Olink's methods
- Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory experiments
- Handle and analyze large datasets and compile and document results
- Participate in product development and method optimization
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from different departments
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Has a degree in Life Science - biotechnology, biomedicine, or similar
- Has documented laboratory experience and good knowledge in molecular biology, proteomics, immunology, and/or chemistry
- Has experience with antibody-based testing methods
- Has good computer skills and knowledge of Excel
- Has experience working in project form and analyzing large datasets
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as the work is conducted in both languages
It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you:
- Have previous experience with PCR/qPCR and screening methods
- Have experience with R or other programming languages for data analysis
