The role of IT technician with us

We are strengthening our team with an additional IT technician as the tasks assigned to the IT technician have increased, largely due to stricter legislation. To meet our legal requirements, strategic security work and development of the industrial OT environment at VA are required. As the digitalization of society increases and VA's OT structure grows, we need another IT technician who can manage operations and maintain operational reliability in the existing environment. This is to ensure we do not lose development, continuity, and quality.

In addition to supporting and relieving our existing IT technician, you will work with:

PLC troubleshooting.
Coordinating responsibility with Kungsbacka's SCADA supplier.
Signals to other VA systems.
General support in troubleshooting communication errors.
Installation work.
Coordinating alarm and monitoring work.

Your profile

As a person, you work well with others and are accommodating and attentive in your interactions. You create new contacts as well as maintain your current work relationships. You take responsibility and drive your work forward towards goals and deliver results while prioritizing your work effectively. You adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes.

You take your own initiatives and often come up with new approaches to work-related issues. You need to be able to adjust your plans for urgent problems that must be solved quickly and qualitatively. You are also patient like a detective in your troubleshooting and have a knack for analyzing the connection between problems and causes. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

Experience working and troubleshooting in networks
Experience in electrical and/or communication installations
Basic knowledge of PLC programming
Basic knowledge of control and regulation technology
Good communication skills in both Swedish and English. In Swedish, both spoken and written, and in English, written.

It is an advantage if you have:

Good knowledge of the operation of treatment and/or water plants
Knowledge of Regin hardware/software
