The Orthopedic Clinic at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping is now seeking a nurse for the orthopedic care units. The Role of the Nurse

As a nurse in the orthopedic care units, you will work with medication management, documentation, and medical technology equipment. You will be responsible for nursing care, pre- and postoperative care, patient mobilization, and care and monitoring of patients with epidural catheters, blocks, and patient-controlled pain management.

In Unit A, patients with acute injuries are treated, while in Unit B, patients are cared for after planned orthopedic surgeries. As a nurse with us, you will experience natural variation and gain broad competence in orthopedics as you alternate between the two care units.

Patients in the orthopedic care units need us around the clock. The night nurse we are currently seeking works from 21:00 to 07:00 and has the opportunity to influence the scheduling of shifts through individual schedule planning.

The position is intended to be a permanent employment at 88.4%, but we are flexible regarding the working hours and can adjust based on agreement. Start date will be according to agreement.

Your Future Workplace

The Orthopedic Clinic at Ryhov County Hospital is the largest orthopedic clinic in Jönköping County. We offer treatment, care, and rehabilitation for orthopedic diseases. The clinic is divided into general orthopedics and spine and neck surgery (neuro-orthopedic center).

The Orthopedic Clinic has two wards. In one ward, patients with acute orthopedic injuries and diseases are treated, including elderly patients with hip fractures and amputations. In the other ward, patients are cared for in connection with various planned surgeries of the musculoskeletal system, such as hip prosthesis surgery, shoulder prosthesis surgery, or other surgeries of the extremities. Here, patients who have undergone planned surgery of the spine and neck are also cared for.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed nurse who wants to contribute to our work at the orthopedic clinic. We prefer that you have an interest in developing within orthopedics and have a few years of experience in care work.

To thrive with us, you should easily adapt to new conditions and take responsibility for your work. You have good judgment and the ability to prioritize between tasks. Your working style is structured, and you have a positive attitude towards your work. You remain calm even in pressured situations. Personal suitability is highly valued.
