The vaccination clinics in northern Värmland have locations at the health centers in Likenäs, Sunne, Hagfors, Ekshärad, Munkfors, and at the hospital in Torsby.

In addition, the region has vaccination clinics in western, eastern, and southern Värmland. At the vaccination clinics in northern Värmland, another nurse works alongside you and hourly nurses to vaccinate the population of Värmland in the northern part against, for example, TBE, seasonal influenza, pneumococci, and COVID-19. We also vaccinate individuals planning to travel abroad, pregnant women, asylum seekers, and immunocompromised patients, and participate in projects such as the HPV eradication project.

Your main placement will be at the vaccination clinic in Torsby, but you will also work at the other clinics in our catchment area.

The range of vaccinations has expanded over the years, and work methods are continuously developing. We are proud of our accessibility for the population of Värmland, our collaborative working style, and our ability to adapt the operations to the needs that exist.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse at the vaccination clinics in northern Värmland, you will work with your colleague on vaccinations, support other staff in questions regarding vaccinations and routines, and be an important part of driving the operations forward. Your duties include not only vaccinations but also medication orders, rounds with doctors, telephone counseling, scheduling of appointment books, and actively being responsible for the daily operations at the clinics. Some staff planning may occur. We collaborate with health centers, municipalities, Smittskydd Värmland, the dialysis department in Torsby, and the telephone service unit that works with part of our appointment booking.

Your Skills/Competencies

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with additional training and prescribing rights. Experience in vaccination work is an advantage. To thrive with us, we see that you are a flexible and structured person with a proactive attitude. You should find it stimulating to instruct and support your colleagues in vaccination work. A driving license (B) is required as travel is involved in the position.
