Intendancy Mark-Water-Environment Center

About the Job

As an intendant, you will be responsible for the intendancy and its management and development, which includes responsibility for operational management, as well as contacts with Akademiska hus regarding operations, fault reports, local adjustments, etc. You will work closely with faculty and institutional staff, primarily through the intendancy council and its head. Contacts with SLU's central service functions are also included. In addition, service issues, some supervision (janitors), and financial management (purchasing and handling invoices) are part of the role. The position includes being the environmental coordinator for the activities in the building.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to the environment and preferably an environmentally focused higher education. You should have good administrative and organizational skills and be service-oriented. The position requires a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. You are accustomed to working with computers and hold a B driver's license.

You should have experience in project management and supervision, as well as operation and management of premises. You should also have documented professional experience in service-oriented activities, and we prefer that you have experience in budget and financial follow-up. Professional experience in a government agency is an advantage, as is knowledge of the conditions in the university environment.

The work involves many contacts both within and outside SLU, and your personal qualities are therefore of central importance. You should be used to working independently and have a high degree of integrity. Very good initiative and organizational skills as well as collaboration ability are of utmost importance. About Us

SLU Mark-Water-Environment Center is located at Campus Ultuna and is a research-intensive environment that includes three SLU institutions (the institutions for energy and technology, land and environment, and water and environment). Research, environmental analysis, and teaching are conducted here in a modern and international environment.
