Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants who have linguistic and cultural knowledge of Sami.

The Finance Department is organized directly under the municipal director and is led by the municipality's chief financial officer. The Finance Department has overall responsibility for the development and management of the municipality's processes related to procurement and operational management, which includes financial management, goal management, and quality management. Currently, 18 employees work in the department to support the municipality's administrations in their daily work. In the Finance Department, we strive for a non-prestigious and learning environment where everyone is welcome.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The systematic quality work of the municipal executive administration and the community development administration takes place both at the municipal level and based on the responsibilities of the municipal council. This means that the administrations govern, lead, and coordinate the entire organization's systematic quality work.

The municipality's operational management is based on a process-oriented working method. As a quality controller, you will work with Åre Municipality's quality management from various perspectives. The work consists of several different parts, such as goal and follow-up work, process mapping, internal governance and control, as well as work with external and future issues.

You will, among other things, work with the municipal council's quality management based on Åre Municipality's management system. This means, for example, being a staff support to the administrations in the work of developing annual cycles and internal control plans. It also means facilitating the administrations' work in developing operational plans and following up relevant parts in quality reports.

The position involves working with municipal-wide processes related to quality issues. You will work closely with the municipality's operational controllers and development steps within the department, as well as with quality controllers in other administrations.

The work also includes other issues that can be linked to the municipality's quality work, such as networking, implementing IT support for quality management, and working with governing documents. In these contexts, your role can range from project leader to investigator.

QUALIFICATIONS

• We are looking for someone with a university degree that is deemed relevant for the assignment.
• Experience with the operational systems 2c8 and Stratsys is an advantage, as well as basic knowledge of systematic quality work and understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001.
• You have experience working in a politically governed organization and can navigate the borderland between politics and administration.
• You have very good knowledge of municipal governance and preferably previous experience working closely with municipal management or administrative management.
• Your ability to lead projects or groups and processes towards set goals is strong, and you have extensive experience writing investigative texts.

As a person, you are responsible, take initiative, and drive processes forward. You are meticulous and structured while also having the ability to see the big picture and consider the larger perspective. You feel comfortable giving oral presentations to larger groups and can adapt your message to different target groups and contexts.

In the role of quality controller, your analytical ability is important, as you will handle various types of complex information that needs to be analyzed, adapted, and communicated to different recipients. You are communicative and work well with others by listening, communicating, and solving problems constructively.
