We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, cultural school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who collectively work to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Bergsgårdsskolan is a primary school with grades F-6 and adapted primary school grades 1-6. The school is located in Hjällbo, close to a nature area and five minutes from the tram stop Hjällbo. The school has two parallel classes in primary school. About 70 students belong to the adapted primary school grades 1-6 distributed over 13 classes. The adapted primary school has three after-school departments. The school has an experienced student health team, school nurse, counselor, special educator, and psychologist who are always available to support both students and you as a teacher.

You will work closely with other educational staff and student assistants throughout the school day. As a teacher in the adapted primary school, you will be part of a work team where you, together with your colleagues, plan, teach, and document based on the curriculum.

You will focus on the quality of teaching through recurring reflection and analysis of pedagogical leadership as well as goal and result management.

In our work, we base ourselves on the adapted primary school's curriculum and syllabus. Most students study according to the syllabus for subject areas, but we also have students and classes that study subjects. The work with us requires close collaboration with the students' guardians, colleagues, and other external actors who are important for the students' health and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed and qualified teacher for teaching in subject areas. You should have knowledge and experience of alternative augmentative communication with sign support. If you have knowledge and experience with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities, it is an advantage. Knowledge of compensatory teaching materials is also an advantage.

For the position, you need to be friendly and helpful to others even in a stressful situation. You show respect for everyone you meet at work. You are inviting and positive. You work to ensure that the student/client/user gets what they need. You are motivated by clearly defined goals and have the ability to translate these into concrete actions.

Furthermore, you have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different conditions. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You remain calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure.
