Job Responsibilities

In preparation for the fall, we are strengthening our competent staff team with a special education teacher in mathematics or a mathematics teacher, with extensive experience working with students in need of special support and development of the mathematics subject, who wants to contribute with competence and commitment for our students.

You will work as a special education teacher/mathematics teacher at two school units, unit 5 where the introductory programs are located and at unit 1 which includes vocational programs such as the Construction and Civil Engineering program, Apprenticeship training, and the Electrical and Energy program.

As a special education teacher/mathematics teacher with us, you will have varied and developing job responsibilities. You will work both with direct teaching, in groups and individually, and drive the work with mathematics development. You should contribute with experiences and perspectives in collegial learning and participate in developing the work of integrating mathematics into vocational subjects and other practical elements.

As an employee with us, you work with the student's knowledge development and with the student's overall development. It is a broad assignment based on building relationships with the student. You will be a mentor for a number of students in a shared mentorship.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a special education teacher in mathematics or a mathematics teacher with extensive experience working with students in need of special support in mathematics, preferably in combination with another subject. It is important that you are confident and stable in your professional role and flexible with methods and tools in your work to help students succeed. You have a knack for listening, communicating, and creating participation while organizing and planning your work effectively. Collaboration is your strength both with students, guardians, and other staff.

Our student groups often have low confidence in their own abilities and difficulties with theoretical subjects. It is important that you have a strong interest in and experience with students in need of special support. Experience working with and knowledge of students with neuropsychiatric disabilities is an advantage.
