About Us

Närhälsan Gamlestadstorget emergency clinic is an evening and weekend open clinic whose mission is to provide good care when regular health centers are closed.

Patients of all ages seek care from us for both minor and serious acute issues, ranging from cuts and burns, suspected fractures to various types of infections. Some are treated and cared for at the emergency clinic while others need to be referred for assessment and treatment at the hospital. The clinic works in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical secretaries, and physiotherapists.

Together with you, we form a workgroup characterized by high competence and great commitment. We care for each other and have close collaboration across professional boundaries. Good team spirit is important to us, which is reflected in our work environment.

About the Job

Your tasks at the emergency clinic are varied with the patient in focus. The work includes independent work in the laboratory with sampling and controls, assisting doctors with wound injuries and minor surgeries, as well as performing common examinations such as blood pressure measurement and EKG examination. Areas of responsibility such as wound dressings, suture removal, and managing your own clinic may also be included.

You will work both independently and in a team with other staff categories at the emergency clinic. Supply ordering and preparing examination rooms are part of the daily work. We work in the Asynja Visph journal system. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so supervising students may also be part of your role at the emergency clinic.

About You

You have documented training as a healthcare assistant.

You have previous experience working at a health center or emergency clinic.

It is an advantage if you have prior experience in wound dressing, suture removal, blood pressure measurement, and managing your own healthcare assistant clinic. Supervisory training is a plus.

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills and flexibility in your way of working. The workload is varied and at times high, so it is important that you have a good ability to prioritize among your tasks. A professional approach and a good attitude towards customers, patients, and colleagues are a given for you. We also expect you to embody Närhälsan's core values: Reliable, Caring, and Innovative.

The position is a part-time employment as needed, and it is possible and appropriate to combine this position with other work.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of healthcare assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of healthcare assistant in care and nursing.
