About the position & who we are looking for

We are now looking for a licensed veterinarian to become part of the team in Skövde. If you have previous work experience, it is a big plus, especially in surgery or dentistry. To fit into the role and the group, we see that you have good collaboration skills and perhaps most importantly, put the team before yourself. We always make sure to help each other, and we are looking for someone with a flexible, solution-oriented, and humble approach to their work.

We are also part of the Swedish Veterinary Group, which is a larger association of veterinary clinics and animal hospitals across Sweden. Here, too, we collaborate between clinics and help each other with everything from professional advice to further education. In addition to physical and digital training within the group, collaboration also allows for observation with the group’s esteemed experts and specialists in various medical fields.

About the clinic

Skövde Animal Clinic is a well-established clinic that started in 1989. All companion animals are welcome here; we assist all kinds of small animals – dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc., and our idea is to provide qualified veterinary care and personal service at a modern and well-equipped small animal clinic.

In the outpatient clinic, there are four examination rooms, a room for imaging diagnostics, and a laboratory department where our BMA works. We perform examinations with ultrasound, ophthalmic equipment, and also have a separate room for infectious patients. The inpatient care department has separate rooms for dogs and cats and is used for aftercare of outpatient surgeries and patients being treated during the day. The operating department consists of two operating rooms and a large preparation area. We perform most soft tissue surgeries, both scheduled and emergency. We also conduct dental treatments with a dental unit and dental X-rays.

We are a team of 13 colleagues, of which 5 are licensed veterinarians, 2 are licensed veterinary nurses, and 6 are animal caretakers. Feel free to get to know us better on our website.
