About us

Welcome to Närhälsan Öckerö Health Center! The health center is centrally located in the growing municipality of Öckerö.

There are good commuting options to Öckerö by bus from Gothenburg. Bus stops and free parking are available in close proximity to the health center. The health center is located in modern air-conditioned premises. In the same premises, there are also pediatric medicine, rehabilitation, and youth clinics. This leads to short communication paths and opportunities for simple collaborations.

Öckerö Health Center has a stable staff where we have together built a nice and family-like health center where we focus on good accessibility and good reception. Today, we are 23 people in different professional groups working at the health center and have about 5,500 registered patients of all ages. We actively work to improve and develop the operations where everyone is involved. We have frequent staff meetings and professional meetings where we jointly work on and follow up ongoing projects. Öckerö Health Center is a small health center with short decision-making paths, and you as an employee have great opportunities to influence working methods and routines.

At Närhälsan Öckerö Health Center, we work with everything from preventive health work to acute care. We offer medical consultations, testing, district nurse consultations, child health care, and also clinics for diabetes, asthma/COPD, smoking cessation, hypertension, menopause, as well as elderly and dementia care. Our mission also includes staffing SÄBO and HSV with doctors.

We also have a rehabilitation coordinator and care planning nurse, as well as a psychosocial team consisting of a psychologist, social worker, and care coordinator. We have a relatively low percentage of sick leave cases and actively work together on these through weekly multiprofessional collaboration and rehabilitation meetings.

About the job

Your tasks encompass the entire breadth of the general medical field. Everything from children to the elderly and even a touch of rural medicine as many of our registered patients live on the islands in Gothenburg's northern archipelago. In April, we will also open a branch in Rörö where we will offer nursing and medical consultations.

In recent years, we have developed a well-functioning drop-in clinic for visits to doctors, district nurses/nurses, and for testing. We also work with multidisciplinary team rounds four times a week.

You and your colleagues form a team with great opportunities to develop the operations. We achieve success together in a stimulating learning environment with open doors and a welcoming climate. The role also includes supervision of ST and AT doctors as well as medical students, which is an important part of our mission to educate tomorrow's healthcare professionals.

We offer you a varied job with good development opportunities, for example through continuous further education of ten days per year. Good scheduling/work hours with time for administration and reflection, as well as great opportunities to work remotely, are available. About you

You are a licensed physician and have specialized training in the field of general medicine, with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement for the position.

We are looking for someone who is attentive and has a good reception since you will meet many different patients at the health center. You enjoy teamwork and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work.
