NU Health Care is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

We are now looking for a nurse who wants to work day, evening, and weekends in Ward 67!

Description

Ward 67 is a general psychiatric acute care ward that belongs to NU Health Care's psychiatric clinic.

We primarily focus on detoxification treatment for patients with substance abuse problems. The ward employs nurses, caregivers, and doctors.

A social worker also works at the clinic, dividing their workday between NÄL's three psychiatric wards. Our ward is currently undergoing improvement work and a care process initiative.

Job Responsibilities

Standard nursing tasks – ward rounds, medication management, sampling, wound dressing, administering injections, EKG, observations, and assessments. Evaluations and actions for acute and non-acute somatic conditions.

Leadership in varying degrees.

Contact person for one or more patients together with one or two colleagues. As a contact person, you are responsible for everything related to your patients' care and for planning interventions together with the patient and others in the team.

The position involves working day/evening shifts.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse. You need to be a responsible person with empathy, commitment, and a good ability to work in a team. Previous experience in psychiatric care is an advantage but not a requirement.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis during the application period.
