Description

Bjurholm Municipality's preschool operations are seeking Preschool Assistants.

We have two municipal preschools located in Bjurholm's town center with a beautiful outdoor environment and forest nearby. We work with mixed-age groups of children aged 1-5 years.

As a preschool assistant in Bjurholm Municipality, you will have an interesting and developing job. Preschool assistants and preschool teachers work together in teams based on various assignments with a holistic view of children, their development, and education, where good cooperation between guardians and preschool is sought.

Responsibilities

As a preschool assistant, you will carry out your work together with preschool teachers who are responsible for working according to the preschool curriculum. You will work alongside others in the team to create a safe, educational, and fun environment for the children. We start from each child's ability to develop, where you strengthen the child by listening, supporting, and encouraging.

Contact and collaboration with parents is an important part of the job. You will lead/participate in parent meetings. As a person, you are creative, driven, engaged, flexible, positive, and want to develop yourself and our common educational mission.

You recognize the importance of collegial learning and the value of family involvement and have a good ability to interact and collaborate with children and adults. You are a curious and dedicated team player who brings enthusiasm to the work.

You have the ability to see the advantages of differences, differences among children and adults, and different ways of thinking and doing. An exploratory approach is important, as it allows children to be involved in exploration with their own suggestions, theories, and expressions.

Collaboration with colleagues and other units is an important part of the mission.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have a preschool assistant education. You should find it exciting and enjoyable to work with children aged 1-5 years. You should have a respectful and warm approach, be easy to collaborate with, and see the mission as joyful and developing.

It is an advantage if:

• You are well-grounded in the preschool's mission and values.
• You are passionate about good relationships.
• You have experience in the field.
• You are multilingual.
• You have knowledge of TAKK (Sign Language as Support) and visual support.
