Saab Dynamics is looking for a driven and structured Supplier Quality Manager (SQM) who is passionate about quality, technology, and innovation.

Your Role

As an SQM, you will be a central part of our quality work and have a direct impact on our success during a time of significant positive challenges within the company. You will implement and ensure that our purchasing strategy, policies, and procedures are followed and developed in line with our high standards and requirements. Depending on who you are and what experiences you have, the role may be adapted. We need competence and experience both in working with supplier development in the field and also driving the work locally. As we are a relatively young organization, we also see a need for someone with a solid background in purchasing quality/quality work who can act as a mentor and support to colleagues, as well as take overall responsibility for analyses and drive effective proactive work. Common to all roles is identifying and addressing deviations, using effective quality tools, and creating long-term solutions in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.

You will work closely with our suppliers to ensure that quality requirements are met, and you will contribute to building strong, sustainable relationships. Supplier audits and evaluations are an important part of your work, where you ensure that their product quality and delivery capability meet our high expectations. At the same time, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in purchasing, development, and production to resolve quality issues and continuously improve our processes.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is analytical, solution-oriented, and has a passion for quality work and technology. Your ability to build relationships and manage complex project environments is crucial for success in this role. Experience in supplier quality and quality systems is an advantage in a dedicated SQM role, but a requirement for those who want to take on greater responsibility in our organization.

You will have significant ownership of your tasks and great opportunities to develop within the role. You need to be solution-oriented and enjoy tackling challenging tasks, both independently and together with others.

Since our work involves collaboration with both local and international suppliers as well as colleagues from different departments, language skills in both Swedish and English are essential to ensure clear and effective communication, as it helps us maintain high quality and efficiency in our processes.

Desirable for the role is knowledge of relevant standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Skills in measurement technology, MSA, and the use of quality tools are also valuable. Knowledge and experience regarding PPAP is a significant advantage. For those aiming to become a lead-SQM, we expect documented solid knowledge in the aforementioned areas.

We value experience from university or college studies and see it as a significant advantage in working with us. However, it is important to emphasize that this is not a requirement.

Within Purchasing/Purchasing Quality at Saab Dynamics in Karlskoga, we work in various product groups divided into two sections. Current product groups include Mechanics, Non-metallic materials, Electronics, Systems, and Propulsion. We are looking broadly and welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences to find the right match based on our needs.

As we are an organization that is growing rapidly, we have opened new offices around the country to meet our need for competence supply. We prefer that you are located in Karlskoga for proximity to our production, but we can also discuss opportunities to work with us based in Karlstad or Solna strand (Stockholm).
