Social Administration Sydwest is looking for Nursing Assistant/Support Assistant
Social Administration Sydwest is one of four social administrations in the City of Gothenburg with around 900 employees. In the Sydwest urban area, about 120,000 residents live, and the area stretches from Billdal to Högsbohöjd and to the southern archipelago. The administration's mission is to ensure that children, young people, and adults can live a safe and independent life and that children and young people have a rich leisure time. The administration also works to support homeless individuals towards permanent housing. Through collaboration with civil society, local businesses, and other actors, we aim to improve public health and safety in the area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now looking for someone interested in a developing job where you will support individuals in their daily lives and enable them to have a meaningful existence. We offer a stimulating job where you, together with the unit manager, support pedagogue, and work group, participate in planning and developing the operations. At Kallebäck's residence, the target group consists of men and women aged 50 and over with care needs and active substance abuse, sometimes in combination with dementia. Many of our residents have mental health issues as a result of their substance abuse or substance abuse as a result of their mental health issues.
Our residents live in their own apartments with proximity to common areas. In your role as a Nursing Assistant/Support Assistant, you will work with a variety of tasks ranging from pedagogical support in daily life to participation in community life and leisure activities. Personal care and support in the home, such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking, are performed as much as possible together with the tenants. You will work motivationally and create conditions for structure, participation, and self-determination based on each person's ability. You will be the contact person for one or more residents. This means maintaining contact with relatives and other networks and actively working to follow up on implementation plans and manage ongoing documentation, which is done with the tenant's involvement.
It is important for our residents to feel respected and heard and to experience safety in community with others. You will daily meet individuals who exhibit deviant behavior, so it is important that you feel comfortable being there for them. In our work, we focus on those we are here for, we care, we work together, and we think innovatively according to the City of Gothenburg's common approach.
For the intervention to be of high quality for the individual, there are high demands on collaboration within the staff group. The work is varied, which may involve new interventions with short notice. The operations have been under development since 2019, so it is important that you who are applying enjoy working in a constantly changing environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
A basic requirement is that you have education from the care and nursing program with a focus on psychiatry or other education that the employer finds equivalent. You need to have experience working with target groups within psychiatry or addiction issues and be self-sufficient in social documentation and writing implementation plans according to IBIC. We also see that you need training in low-arousal responses. For the position, it is also a requirement that you have a valid B driver's license.
