Almunge Health Center

Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

There is now a unique opportunity to be part of our initiative where we are hiring more general practitioners for Almunge Health Center with the aim of offering 1100 listed patients per full-time general practitioner by spring 2025. Be part of the start, and there are excellent opportunities to influence our new working methods, patient flows, and scheduling! We offer permanent positions full-time and part-time, and the working hours can be discussed based on the applicant's preferences. Start date by agreement.

Your mission

With us, you will work closely with all professions at the health center. Your tasks will consist of outpatient work with the opportunity for other stimulating tasks such as supervising AT/ST doctors and being responsible for various clinical processes based on interest. As part of the job, you will be involved in developing our operations, and there are good opportunities to influence work arrangements and scheduling, thus allowing you to impact your work environment. Some on-call duty may also be included, as is the case throughout primary care in the Uppsala region.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a physician with specialist competence in general medicine with a Swedish license and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Since we are currently in a phase of developing our operations, it is an advantage if you have an interest in healthcare development with a focus on patients and patient flows. It is also beneficial if you enjoy working in teams around patients with other professionals to achieve effective flows. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Our operations

We are the small doctor-led health center with great opportunities and are looking for someone who wants to develop together with us! We are located in fresh premises in the rural area of eastern Uppsala municipality (25 km from Uppsala). The bus stops right outside, and there is free parking at the health center. Here, all professions work closely together to provide the best possible care, and you can become part of our team!

We have about 5100 listed patients and are about 20 employees offering most services within primary care. We have good staffing of doctors and the advantage of having several double specialists employed, including a geriatrician, hand surgeon, and pediatrician. We also have very well-functioning nurse-led clinics. At the health center, we work to provide our patients with the best possible care. We value a good and stimulating work environment with personal solutions.
