Väst-Teg Care and Nursing Home is looking for a new colleague

Väst-Tegs vård- och omsorgsboende is a newly built municipal residence located in Väst-Teg.

The residence opened in the autumn of 2024 and consists of six floors. There are a total of 120 apartments divided into 12 units, each consisting of 10 apartments. Each unit has its own spacious balcony. On the ground floor, there is a café and a glazed outdoor terrace.

In Väst-Tegs premises, there is also a production kitchen. In the production kitchen, meals are prepared and distributed to residences and schools around Umeå municipality.

Your tasks

With a professional approach and a good attitude, you assist our residents in their daily lives. The residents' right to participate in decisions is in focus, and you contribute to ensuring that services are provided with good quality, according to assistance decisions and implementation plans.

You will assist with personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning, meals, and other services. Your tasks will also include documenting actions and health conditions as well as medical tasks based on delegation from the responsible nurse.

About you

We are looking for someone with previous experience working in elderly care. If you are a trained nursing assistant or caregiver, it is an advantage.

Your interaction with the residents requires good competence based on personal suitability, maturity, and empathetic ability. You show great commitment to both users and the organization in all relationships and actions. You enjoy working independently, are patient and proactive. You have the ability to collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals.

To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
