Resource Educators Wanted at Järntorgsskolan

Järntorgsskolan is Nora's largest F-6 school with approximately 280 students and 50 highly qualified educators, distributed across the primary school and adapted primary school grades F-6 and after-school care. We work based on a common vision: "Our students feel safe and are stimulated to achieve the best possible results." We are organized into five work teams with associated team leaders, and the school management consists of a principal and an assistant principal. We are now looking for three resource educators for our primary school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a resource educator, you will provide daily support to our students with special needs. You will accompany students throughout the school day, both during after-school care and lessons. Students receive support and adjustments based on individual needs. Since the students have extensive support needs, part of the work involves caregiving tasks related to hygiene, dressing, meals, etc.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our adapted primary school and student health team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who wants to create good conditions for our students who need special support. As a person, you are calm and secure. Since you will be working with individuals who require specific support, it is important that you are responsible, organized, and skilled at following routines. You have an easy time communicating with both adults and students and are attentive to people's various needs.

We prefer that you have relevant education in the field, such as a childcare worker/other educational training or training in caregiving.

Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring extensive support is considered an asset. Additionally, experience in a school or other educational setting is advantageous. Experience working with sign language and visual support is also a plus.
