The City Environment Administration has a comprehensive responsibility for the city's public spaces and overall accessibility. We work to create accessible, attractive, and vibrant urban environments and natural areas. The administration owns and manages the tram network in Gothenburg. Approximately 900 people work in the administration.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our unit for land and maintenance works to maintain and build streets and squares, parks, and other outdoor environments in the city of Gothenburg. You will work with both short-term corrective construction work and lead larger projects. As a production leader, you will support the project manager with work leadership and result follow-up. This means that you plan and distribute ongoing work and work with quality for various projects. The role of production leader/work leader involves many contact points and continuous collaboration with various partners.

To succeed in the role, it is important that you enjoy making quick decisions and operationally leading both employees and contractors. We believe that you are used to a coordinating role with a high tempo and have well-developed communication skills. You gain energy from leading, engaging, and motivating others.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in construction work. You have at least a high school education in construction or equivalent professional experience. A driver's license (B) and good knowledge of Swedish are required. Additional requirements include experience in reading drawings and using setting-out instruments. Experience in work leadership within construction activities is an advantage.

You are a skilled administrator and good at organizing and planning your work and that of others. Good problem-solving skills are an important part of the job, along with a commitment to developing the business.
