The area of Specialized Medicine 2 in Helsingborg includes infectious medicine, lung medicine, gastroenterology, diagnostic center, neurology and stroke care, as well as rheumatology. The section for lung medicine and allergy includes consultancy, outpatient services, and a care department shared with gastroenterology, totaling 21 care places. Helsingborg Hospital has a very good collaborative climate and we have close cooperation with other medical specialties. There are intermediate care units (IMA), intensive care units (IVA), and emergency care units. Currently, the lung section employs specialists in internal medicine and lung medicine, as well as a specialist in oncology focused on lung cancer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lung medicine in Helsingborg is currently in a phase of development, and we want to expand our team with more specialists in lung medicine who want to help drive and develop care for lung medicine patients. You will work alternately in outpatient care, on the ward, and as a consultant. Bronchoscopy services are available.

Mentoring junior colleagues at various levels and medical students is part of your daily work, as is close collaboration with other professions. Teamwork is a given. The role also includes some on-call duties.

Together with your colleagues, you will develop the content of care, and there are good opportunities for personal professional development. Our ambition is to conduct research in both non-malignant and malignant lung diseases in the future. If you have research ambitions, it is very possible to combine clinical service with research.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed physician authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare and have specialist competence in lung medicine. If you are also a specialist in internal medicine, that is an advantage, but not a requirement. The position requires language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. Since our patients may have different backgrounds, we consider it an advantage if you speak more languages than Swedish. If you have a doctorate, experience in teaching, and/or have conducted academic research, that is also seen as a benefit.

You have good communication skills in both speech and writing and are used to and enjoy working in a team. As a person, you are structured, take your own initiative, and we hope that you, just like us, enjoy challenges and are positive, seeing opportunities instead of obstacles.
