About the Organization

The Assistance Unit currently has a total of 14 employees with assignments as social welfare officers under the Social Services Act (SoL) and under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). The unit also includes the functions of assignment coordinators, housing coordinators, and a coordinator as well as fee administrators.

The unit is characterized by a commitment to making a difference for those in need of help and support. We value each other's knowledge and strive together to continuously develop our work to ensure a legally secure authority exercise. All employees within the unit are keen to ensure that we have a legally secure authority exercise, are resource-conscious, and have a holistic view of the individual.

Job Responsibilities

As a social welfare officer focusing on SoL, you will work with investigations and assess needs according to legislation, as well as make decisions and follow up on interventions. Daily tasks also include documentation, individual meetings with individuals and relatives, and collaboration with other actors within and outside the organization. You will work independently with support from colleagues and the coordinator who provides case guidance individually and in groups.

Within the unit, we work according to a work model that is based on a holistic view of the individual. The unit holds regular meetings for case discussions. Development of working methods and case processing is ongoing. In your daily work, you contribute to development by making suggestions and actively participating in follow-ups, evaluations, and communication of issues.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you take your own initiatives, are results-oriented, and have the ability to make decisions. In stressful situations, you remain calm and stable and have the ability to maintain focus. You find it easy to collaborate, listen, and communicate, and provide constructive feedback. You can express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and are clear in conveying messages in both small and large contexts. In your daily work, you are structured by planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks effectively according to your own and others' set deadlines. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt your perspective and approach based on the situation. Your demeanor is characterized by a good attitude and service.

Qualifications:

• Degree in social work or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing and to communicate in Swedish
• Driver's license B
• Experience in case management and authority exercise within the area of social services

Meritorious:

• Education in social law at least at the university level
• Extended legal competence in the area of elderly and disabled
• Experience in case management under SoL and LSS
• The working model IBIC (Individual Needs in Center)
• The operational system Lifecare
