As a support assistant at Skolgatan 7 in Kvissleby, you will work together with your colleagues with the aim of giving our users participation, influence, and a high degree of self-determination in their own lives. We strive to create good quality of life and self-realization for users based on applicable legislation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Based on laws, goals, and guidelines, enable the user to be at the center and have influence and participation in interventions and activities for an independent life. Use self-assessment methods where the user can assess their abilities, describe their feelings, desires, will, and attitudes.

You will work based on the Act on Special Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and other applicable legislation as well as the municipality's values, political goals, and other guidelines.

Interventions should meet the individual’s psychological, physical, and social needs. Support interventions should be based on the user's individual needs, promote independence, participation, and be carried out with respect for the user's integrity and self-determination.

Provide support, care, and assistance to the individual and in various ways support meaningful activities, in such a way that the individual's resources are strengthened from a social and habilitative/rehabilitative perspective. Work with documentation, implementation plans, and follow-ups as well as deviation reporting, e.g., Lex Sarah.

Structure and plan your work based on the employer's established directives. By delegation from a nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist, perform health and medical care tasks. Follow the established working methods and common approaches, routines, and guidelines set by the employer.

Participate in the development of working methods and approaches. Actively participate in professional development. Hold areas of responsibility and assignments both within and outside the regular workplace and actively participate in meetings, goal-setting, and planning days, etc. Actively contribute to developing a good quality operation and suggest ideas for changes and improvements in the operation. Perform other tasks as needed.

Assist in the introduction of new staff. Be responsible for mentoring new employees and students based on the unit's routines.

Collaborate with the user's network, other staff, and other partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with education or other training deemed equivalent:

• Care and Nursing Program with specialization in disability/psychiatry.
• Assistant nurse with a focus on developmental disabilities/mental health.
• Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social work or educational work.

We are looking for someone with experience in:

• Low-arousal approach and clarifying pedagogy.
• Alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

Language skills:

• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good reading comprehension.

IT skills:

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work, order, and register in various operational systems.
• It is an advantage if you have experience working with the municipality's existing software.
• It is an advantage if you are willing to undergo internal delegation training and be approved to administer medication, etc.

We are looking for someone with a B driver's license.
