Sjömansservice provides service in many ways
Within the Swedish Maritime Administration, there is the unit Sjömansservice, which works with services for crew members on Swedish and foreign vessels as well as for groups related to the maritime labor market. Examples of services offered by Sjömansservice include transportation, sports events, excursions, library exchanges on board, and general information regarding Sjömansservice activities.

Job Responsibilities
As Site Manager at Rosenhill Seamen's Center, you will be responsible for the operations at the facility. This includes managing employees, scheduling, budget and performance monitoring, as well as ensuring that the goals and guidelines of the Swedish Maritime Administration are met. Responsibility for the property is done in consultation with the property manager at the Swedish Maritime Administration's property unit. However, the Site Manager has certain responsibilities for operations and maintenance and ensuring a safe environment for both employees and the target group. You will be responsible, in consultation with Sjömansservice central, for local information to schools, organizations, associations, and shipping companies in Gothenburg. The position requires a good insight into the entire Sjömansservice operation. The role also includes responsibility for coordination with the local section represented by the maritime industry. You will also share responsibility for the Swedish Maritime Administration's Leisure Committee, with leisure properties in various locations in Sweden.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone with at least a high school education and a genuine interest in shipping, service, cultural and sports activities. You have experience in personnel management, budget and performance monitoring, staff leadership, service, and property issues. Familiarity with the Office suite is a requirement, knowledge of IFS is advantageous, and proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required. Since travel is part of the job, you need to have a B driver's license.

You are open and genuinely interested in other people and cultures, and you find it easy to make contact. You also have good prioritization skills, can handle stressful situations, and are flexible. We are looking for someone who is responsible and drives their tasks independently. The role of Site Manager places high demands on good leadership qualities and the ability to communicate and collaborate with both employees, colleagues, partners, and the target group.

The position may require Swedish citizenship. A security check with a background check may be conducted before a job offer is made.

How and when?
This recruitment is for a permanent position expected to be filled on September 29, 2025. 

The Swedish Maritime Administration may apply a six-month probationary period.
The position may involve military placement at the Swedish Maritime Administration. 
Interviews are expected to be held in weeks 18-19.
