The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

Description

The ambulance service in Kungälv consists of four ambulance stations: Ale, Kungälv, Stenungsund, and Tjörn, as well as a unit for non-emergency patient transport. The ambulance service employs 53 permanent staff members.

The ambulance service in Alingsås consists of two ambulance stations: Alingsås and Lerum. Approximately 45 permanent staff members work in the ambulance service.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in the ambulance, you will play an active role in planning, executing, and being responsible for the tasks within ambulance care based on the Health and Medical Services Act, the Patient Safety Act, and directives from the ambulance chief physician. The nurse in the ambulance should, from an ethical standpoint, contribute to good communication, quality patient care, and a positive work environment.

Orientation training starts on 25-05-01.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse; pre-hospital further education is highly meritorious. A driving license with at least B category is required, and it is very advantageous if you have C/C1 category as we will only have ambulances in the future that require heavier licenses.

Emergency driver training is highly meritorious, as well as good local knowledge of the geographical areas in the ambulance districts. You should have good physical ability as we conduct physical tests. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability, where flexibility and the ability to work independently are important aspects.

Test days for Kungälv are 25-01-21 and 25-02-27. Test days for Alingsås are 25-01-13 and 25-01-22.

Employment Type

This is a fixed-term employment until 2025-08-31 with the possibility of extension.
