The municipality of Vara is in an exciting phase where we are building up the administration of estates in collaboration with several municipalities in Skaraborg.

If all decisions are made, we will offer this important service to several municipalities in the region.

We are now looking for an engaged and responsible estate administrator who wants to be part of this journey. The work is based in Vara, but travel within Skaraborg will be necessary. You will work closely with our current estate administrator and be part of a small, close-knit team.

Your role

• Receive and process inquiries regarding estate notifications
• Investigate whether there are assets in the estate
• Investigate financial assistance for funeral costs
• Be responsible for the provisional management of the estate's assets and burial if heirs are missing
• Process and distribute own funds
• Perform certain administrative tasks within the reception group for social assistance

Your knowledge and experience

We expect you to have legal competence at the university level, a degree in social work, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.

Previous experience in estate administration or financial assistance as well as experience with the operational system Lifecare is an advantage.

The position requires you to express yourself well in both speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who is responsible, service-oriented, and has an empathetic approach, as you will meet and guide relatives who have lost a loved one. You have a knack for building relationships, as the administration of clients with mediation funds often involves a vulnerable social group with various personal difficulties.

Your future workplace

The municipality of Vara is building up estate administration in collaboration with several municipalities in Skaraborg. You will work with estate administration alongside our current estate administrator and be part of a small, close-knit team.

The work is based in the town of Vara, but travel within Skaraborg will be necessary. We are looking for someone who can work independently but also collaborate well, as the team will need to support each other with complex cases.

Other

A driving license (B) is required for the position.
