Your Responsibilities

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in educating the nurses and specialists of the future. In this position, you will teach and administer courses within the basic education for nurses as well as specialist training.

You will teach nursing science related to the responsibilities of nurses and thereby contribute to shaping competent and well-educated healthcare professionals. Your tasks include work at the Clinical Training Center (KTC) where you will lead both basic skills training and advanced simulation, as well as supervising thesis work at the bachelor's level.

Collaboration with healthcare organizations and participation in assessment discussions during students' clinical placements are also included, and teaching in educational care departments may occur. You will also actively participate in research and development work within your subject area at the academy and keep updated on developments in your field and relevant societal changes affecting work at the university.

Your Qualifications

The following qualifications are required for the position:

• Master's degree in nursing science or equivalent
• Demonstrated pedagogical skills
• Swedish nursing license
• Solid experience working as a nurse
• Ability for clear communication and good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
• Documented good collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently
• Experience in teaching and student supervision.

Meritorious:

• Training in student supervision
• Experience as a main supervisor in healthcare

A general eligibility requirement for a permanent position as a teacher is completion of higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 10 weeks of full-time studies, or equivalent competence. An employee lacking higher education pedagogical training can undergo the training during the first two years of employment.

Permanent full-time employment. A six-month probationary period may apply. Start date as soon as agreed. Place of employment: Borås.
