Vacant job

We are now looking for someone who wants to work this summer and is interested in a full-time position, but we are also looking for those who are seeking a regular summer job or part-time work.  

The job is with a charming 9-year-old boy who lives with his family in Björklinge, just outside Uppsala. A driver's license is not required as public transport works fine. If you live in Björklinge, that's a plus. 

Here are Viggo's words about the job:

I am a fun and happy boy who enjoys building Lego, listening to music, swimming, swinging, and being outdoors. I have a muscle disease and therefore need help from my fantastic assistants 24 hours a day. I always have two assistants with me during all waking hours. 

Together we will do everything we need to, such as hygiene, feeding, physiotherapy, and communication training, but we will also handle medications and other health-related matters.

There can easily be acute situations related to my health, and it is important that you can remain calm to help me in the best way possible. 

There will be some lifting involved, but there are lifts for most tasks, although it is still important that you do not have back problems, etc. 

We will, of course, also do fun things like hanging out with my family, relatives, and friends, and an open personality will come in handy. I love to play and need some help with that too, so it is important that you are a playful person with a childlike spirit!

My parents also have requirements for you as an applicant, and that is that you are attentive, organized, proactive, reliable, and responsible. 

Experience in caregiving is an advantage but not a requirement, and personal suitability is the most decisive factor.

The job is scheduled for all hours of the year, week, and day with awake night shifts. It is good if you are flexible regarding working hours, and we prefer that you live in Björklinge or nearby.
