At Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel, we offer a varied and exciting selection of food, and our restaurants aim to provide something for every need and taste. In Saluhallen, delicious dishes from near and far are served side by side - here, the whole world lands on your plate! Saluhallen can accommodate over 500 guests, where both large and small find their favorites. Overall, the operation represents variety and breadth, which places demands on both kitchen management and staff!

A typical day looks like this

The sous chef's main task is to function as the Head Chef's right hand. In the absence of the Head Chef, the sous chef plans, leads, and distributes the work in the kitchen. You are well-versed in current purchasing procedures, involved in recruitment, and play an important role in the kitchen's development work.

Your work is operations-oriented, requiring you to have a great passion for food and be innovative and creative without compromising our high quality standards. You actively contribute to an open and pleasant working environment. As part of the kitchen management, we expect you to take significant personal responsibility towards your colleagues by exemplary adhering to industry regulations, being a good leader and colleague, and inspiring skill enhancement. You will lead both experienced restaurant staff and newly trained employees, including inexperienced colleagues. Therefore, your mission will be to coach and guide each employee so they can grow, thrive, and develop.

Do we match?

We are looking for someone with relevant restaurant education and documented experience from restaurant kitchens, or other relevant experience. Experience in a leadership position within a kitchen regarding operational responsibility, raw material ordering, and menu planning is a plus. We also value experience from hotel kitchens. With us, the pace is high, and you should be prepared to handle large volumes of guests and orders.

You work responsibly with the goal of delivering high-quality cooking and have a good understanding of food laws and handling of raw materials. We expect you to be a skilled cook who, towards your colleagues, is a patient and motivating leader who, with heart and wisdom, is available as a role model and inspirer.

Good to know

The position is a permanent full-time employment with placement according to agreement. Working hours are influenced by the needs of the operation, which means you will work both daytime, evenings, and weekends. Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline, which is April 13. The position falls under the HRF's agreement area.
