Job Advertisement: Nurses Needed for Medical and Geriatric Clinic

The Medical and Geriatric Clinic in Skellefteå is one of the largest clinics at the hospital with approximately 300 employees. The clinic's beds are distributed according to medical and geriatric specialties. The majority of admissions are acute and occur via the emergency department. The outpatient services consist of medicine, geriatrics, and dialysis clinics. Within the medicine clinic, there are also day care services and a physiological laboratory. The clinic also has a research unit, which is unique for a regional hospital.

We are now looking for nurses for departments 3, 6, and 7 at the Medical and Geriatric Clinic. Department 3 focuses on stroke and gastroenterology, department 6 focuses on cardiology and pulmonary medicine, and department 7 focuses on hematology, kidney diseases, and diabetes. If you are interested in a specific specialty, you are welcome to indicate that in your application. In the departments, we work in a modified 3-3 work schedule, which promotes recovery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse, you work both independently and in teams with colleagues from various professions. You also work in partnership with the patient and their relatives, where you are responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care based on the patient's needs and resources.

The care provided is multifaceted, contributing to your personal development within the profession and providing a broad competence base within the medical and geriatric fields.

As a newcomer, you will be offered a structured onboarding tailored to your previous work experience. An introductory program is also offered to nurses with less work experience.

The position includes mixed shifts, which means working days, evenings, and nights. There is also the possibility to work only nights. The working hours can be adjusted according to the applicant's wishes.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with an interest in the medical and geriatric fields at the departmental level. It is advantageous if you have experience working in a care department within these areas or other acute settings.

As a person, you are responsible and committed. You have good collaboration skills with both patients, relatives, and colleagues. We also see that you have the ability to work independently, are flexible, and have an awareness of people's differences. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
