About the Position

Are you an experienced material planner with the ability to manage complex material flows and inventory structures? Together with our partner Forbo Flooring, we are looking for someone who is driven and self-sufficient and can start no later than mid-May 2025. You will belong to Supply Chain Material Planning and be a key person in the team where you will take primary responsibility for their central warehouse.

In the role of material planner, you will be part of a team of 4 people. You will work closely with other departments and external parties, which means you need to be communicative and have an easy time collaborating with others. To succeed in the role, we see that you are a problem solver who thrives in a dynamic work environment. You are analytical, meticulous, and have the ability to make decisions independently, as you are used to driving your work forward.

Your tasks will summarize as follows:

  • Responsible for purchasing materials for the central warehouse and ensuring that the inventory structure is correct.
  • Daily communication with the central warehouse and product manager as needed to optimize the inventory and ensure that the right products are available.
  • Phase out old items and keep track of inventory levels.
  • Inventory administration in SAP to check stock balance, manage material flow, resolve discrepancies, damages, and returns.
  • Follow up on timely deliveries from suppliers and other disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Daily contact both internally and externally. Continuous information to customer service and sales about product availability, deliveries, critical inventory situations, and inventory structure.
  • Actively participate in meetings within Supply Chain and collaborate with other material planners to find solutions to any problems.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 2-4 years of experience as a material planner and/or purchaser or similar role.
  • Previous experience from the flooring industry or other industries with complex material handling, with an understanding of batch management.
  • Relevant post-secondary education in the field, but most importantly is your work experience in the area.
  • Has good knowledge of the Office suite.
  • Has knowledge of business systems and preferably has worked in SAP before.
  • Speaks and writes fluent Swedish and English.

As a person, we see that you lead yourself and your tasks where you dare to take initiative in meetings and processes forward. For those with experience in analysis and strategic thinking, there is also an opportunity to work with this in the role. It is a significant advantage if you have worked with international suppliers and production before, as several of the factories are located in other countries, which means you should be comfortable communicating in English.
