SiS LVM home Hessleby, located in a beautiful forest environment just outside Mariannelund, receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We have special expertise in receiving clients with mental health issues or outwardly aggressive behavior. We are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.
Job Description
Do you want to help create the life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a nursing assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients to new and less risky ways of living and to meet their needs for care and nursing from a healthcare perspective. You will collaborate with other roles in the institution such as treatment assistants, treatment pedagogues, treatment secretaries, investigation secretaries, and unit managers. You will be part of the health and medical care team with nurses and doctors, where you will support daily tasks related to healthcare such as:
- Responsible for lab work and other referrals, urine sampling, blood sampling, and planning of hepatitis vaccinations.
- Responsible for and guide the implementation of various checks such as blood pressure and pulse in each department.
- Ensure that routines regarding health and medical care are implemented and followed in each department.
- Distributing medication to clients.
- Support staff in health and medical care work in the departments.
- Conduct healthcare handovers with hospitals regarding waiting clients during both new admissions and after hospital stays during the treatment period.
- Conduct an initial assessment of client cases related to health and medical care.
As part of the position, you will also handle doctor documentation after doctor days, i.e., transcription of doctor dictations and administration of Siths cards.

Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a well-founded positive view of people, great empathy, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.
You should also have:
- Completed high school education or similar to nursing assistant
- Experience working as a nursing assistant
- Driver's license B
- Good Swedish in speech and writing
- Experience working with people in substance abuse or psychiatry is an advantage

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
