The Role of Nurse

With us, you will work in a team consisting of nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors in a good working climate. Our specialties are pulmonary medicine, gastroenterology, and general internal medicine. As a nurse with us, you will be responsible for care, medical treatment, medication, and the social planning around the patient. The nurse's work also includes administering medication, handling medical technical equipment, and performing delegated medical tasks.

The Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic at Högland Hospital in Eksjö is a developing organization where we care for patients in need of specialized medical and geriatric care. The clinic has a history of innovative, systematic, and evidence-based quality work with a strong patient focus. Since 2014, the clinic's management system has been certified according to ISO 9001:2014.

Being ISO-certified is something we are all very proud of. This simply means that we have order and clarity in our operations. It creates good conditions for us who work at the clinic to know what, when, and how. It contributes to our processes being quality assured so that patients receive good and safe care.

We know that the transition from education to reality can feel significant. We want to give you, as a newly graduated nurse, a good start in your career where you can grow into your new professional role. Therefore, we offer all our employed nurses who have received their license in the last 12 months to participate in one of Sweden's best introduction and development programs for newly graduated nurses - RIU. The program consists of 20 full days spread over eight months, starting every year in February and September. Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a great interest in your profession and a constant desire to develop!

We seek someone who is confident in their role as a nurse. You are proactive, self-sufficient, and easily adaptable to changing circumstances. You have a good ability to structure your work and are independent, while also collaborating well with others. Furthermore, you are stable and maintain calm in stressful situations. You also have a good ability to communicate with others and understand their perspectives.
