Fässberg Parish, just outside Gothenburg, is looking for someone with a heart for the church and fellow human beings, who wants to contribute to creating a cozy atmosphere in the parish's premises and activities with warmth and love in their eyes.

We are looking for someone who:

- Has an eye for detail and is skilled at creating pleasant indoor environments.

- Enjoys cooking and is eager to take charge of Fässberg's soup lunches.

- Likes to chat with people you meet and wants everyone to feel welcome.

- Enjoys collaboration, is proactive, and sees what needs to be done.

- Is good at involving others and wants to work to engage more volunteers.

- Has experience with the church and wants to help others feel at home in Fässberg Parish.

As a parish host, your responsibilities include:

- Making the parish's premises welcoming and cozy.

- Preparing the soup lunch and taking care of those who come.

- Managing the rental of the parish's premises.

- Purchasing food for the parish's activities.

- Decorating the churches for Sunday services.

- Caring for the furnishings in the parish's premises.

- Being a host during larger events in the parish (volunteer party, midsummer celebration, drop-in weddings, etc.).

- Together with the parish's indoor caretaker, being responsible for the practical aspects of the parish's work.

Welcome to a wonderful and active team of 25 employees. Fässberg Parish is part of the Church of Sweden in Mölndal and is located just south of Gothenburg. Fässberg Parish aims to be a place overflowing with God's love, so that people are seen, freed, and restored. A community with belonging, engagement, and diversity that is permeated by diaconal drive, volunteer participation, and joy in worship. The parish has three churches and two parish halls. Parish life is rich, many volunteers are engaged, and the parish's churches and halls are constantly filled with people of all ages.

Computer skills and a valid driver's license are required. Start date by agreement.

Some evening and weekend work may occur throughout the year.
