Nurses for Forensic Psychiatric Inpatient Care

Within the health and medical care administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are gathered in a common administration and organized into county and local health care areas. In the local health care area of Skellefteå, the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö are included. Together, these aim to provide good and close care.

The Psychiatric Clinic, consisting of about 240 employees, provides both outpatient and inpatient care. The outpatient care includes an Emergency and Assessment Unit, which includes eating disorder services, two adult clinics targeting individuals aged 26 and older, the Young Adults clinic targeting ages 18-25, as well as a medical unit, MBT team, elderly team, and specialist psychiatric nursing team (SPOT). The inpatient care consists of two acute psychiatric wards and a dependency ward with an associated detoxification unit. Within dependency care, there is also an outpatient clinic, LARO clinic, and a dual diagnosis team.

We are now expanding our operations with two brand new forensic psychiatric inpatient places. The patients we care for are sentenced to forensic psychiatric care but are close to discharge, as it is important to have the opportunity to return to a meaningful context in society. Therefore, we are looking for nurses who want to work in inpatient care with varying tasks. This will also include working with community rehabilitation efforts. Your commitment is important and will make a difference. You will have the opportunity to shape new routines and working methods so that we can meet the patient group in the best way. We see this change as an exciting development of care in Skellefteå.

The forensic psychiatric places will be integrated into our regular inpatient wards. Therefore, you who start with us will work both with our other patient groups and with the forensic psychiatric efforts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As inpatient care staff with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

We are now looking for nurses for inpatient care who can also work with community rehabilitation, linked to a forensic psychiatric assignment. The tasks will consist of both varying care duties within the framework of your professional area and specific efforts towards the forensic psychiatric inpatient places.

As care staff with us, you have a broad nursing perspective with the patient at the center. You will work closely with other staff within the unit, relatives, and care neighbors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained nurse; it is an advantage if you have further education in psychiatry or forensic psychiatry as well as experience in psychiatric care, dependency care, or forensic psychiatric care.

Valuable qualities in you are the ability to collaborate, flexibility, and interest in the development of our new forensic psychiatry assignment.
