About Us

Skogsgården is a preschool located in Torvalla, Östersund Municipality. The preschool has four departments with mixed-age groups. We are close to forests and nature, ski trails, and beautiful walking paths. Your future colleagues are engaged and proud educators who see their mission as an important part of children's development. The preschool has a strong culture of collaboration where all educators are involved. The goal is to create a preschool that is fun, safe, and educational for all children.

Our prioritized areas are language-developing approaches and methods, as well as leadership at all levels. The preschool is based on a pedagogical annual cycle to create a common understanding of the curriculum's mission and to strengthen the work with systematic quality assurance. We collaborate with Kronans preschool to promote collegial learning and experience exchange. Additionally, we have had a forest group for many years, where future school children from different preschools meet during their last year to explore and learn in various places in our local environment.
