Job Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you are the customer's first point of contact via phone, chat, Facebook, or email.

Your main task is to provide accurate and up-to-date travel information and answer customers' various questions about public transport. As a Customer Host, you will be among travelers at train stations or bus stations, supporting them with your presence. These tasks, both in Customer Service and as a Customer Host, will be scheduled and mixed according to needs and traffic situations.

The position is based at the headquarters in Falkenberg, but remote work is possible according to internal regulations.

As a Customer Host, you will work throughout the county based on needs and current traffic situations. However, you will most often be found at one of Halland's largest bus stations or at a train station. Customer Service is open every day of the year, so working hours vary, ranging from early morning shifts to day, evening, and weekend shifts. When you have shifts as a Customer Host, the working hours are linked to needs and travel.

As a temporary employee, you will cover for regular staff during the period from June 1 to August 31. Mandatory, three to four weeks of full-time (paid) training is tentatively scheduled to start on Monday, April 28. The training will mainly take place at the headquarters in Falkenberg.

About the Workplace

The workplace is located at Holgersplan in Falkenberg, but some shifts (morning, evening, and weekend) can be performed remotely according to internal procedures. Hallandstrafiken handles over 50,000 daily journeys by bus and train, and we always put the customer first.

At the headquarters and in customer service stores, approximately 100 employees work with the planning, development, and service journeys of public transport in Halland, as well as bookings for medical transport and special transport.

During the summer of 2025, train traffic in Halland will be significantly affected by several major construction works, primarily in Varberg, where the new train tunnel is scheduled to open on July 13.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma and a background in customer service and customer communication. Previous experience in customer service, especially under high pressure, is an advantage. You should have excellent communication skills, enjoy meeting customers, be proficient in the Swedish language both spoken and written, and have basic knowledge of English. Additional language skills are a plus.

Since we use many different IT supports in Customer Service, good digital competence is important, as well as the ability to quickly learn new systems. However, the most important thing is that you always have the customer in focus and a strong commitment to helping. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

To proceed in the process, we require that our summer temporary employees be able to take approximately three to five shifts per week throughout the period from June 1 to August 31 and participate in the entire training (full-time and daytime) starting from April 28. The training is, of course, paid.

We warmly welcome your application!

In this recruitment, we apply continuous selection and interviews, which means that you may be called for an interview before the application deadline.
